List- o’s project born as a new implementation of the Tradauto project. A project developt by  Funredes (http://funredes.org). The main idea is offer a technological tool to translate text and messages to several languajes. All the messages are traveling across mailing lists.

List-o project is designed and developed by Colnodo  (http://colnodo.apc.org) to Funredes with the support of l’Institut de la Francophonie numérique, Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie.

Have been 3 months of hard work. A lot of interesting ideas and topics like internationalization and mail systems.

So, I invite you to know about  LIST-O. Any idea, suggestion or anything is welcome.

I feel so grateful to a real special person for all the things we lived, for all, was a experience to remember all my life. unfortunately, he life have several ways to us and sometimes it takes to diferent roads or situations that make us change, change a lot.

Today a lot of thigs are differents, starting from my professional life until my sentimental life. But all counts, also the past, in fact, the past counts a lot.

Now my life takes a new road, new goals, my master studies, live alone and continue recovering the missed time, 3 years of missed time, the count today goes in 2 years I’ve recovered one year.

No matter how other’s opinions affect me, I have to continue, go ahead and take my new “mantra”: Goes for the happiness.

Finally I get it. I’m very happy for this goal, I know that MySQL future isn’t clear but I want to be DBA of this wonderful database system.

I came to Barrancabermeja to give a talk about open soure software on the first Encuentro Regional de Territorios digitales del Magdalena Medio. So the talk takes 2 hours and was really amazing to talk to the people about this topic with more experience than other thing. At the end of the talk all the paople received a CD with OpenApps and gone with the idea to try Open Source software at house, school and work.

After the congress end time to tourism and see:

• Eat salpicón with ice cream
• See a perforation on a residential zone looking for oil.
• Magdalena’s river strenght moving faster to the sea.
• Kola Hipinto
• The hard smell of the oil at Ecopetrol refinery’s zone
• A really amazing heat
• Search for air condittioning places.

I think we are only talking about the change of the boss, the name on the owner.  Today I’m not patriotic. a lot of people can think this about my opinions. But, be patriotic goes beyond to watch the military parade, shake the colombian flag. Today we are so much slave than before and we think we are free. two hundred years and we are still in “war statement”, still have bad goberments, each time worse, we are still a Colony. The think is that we are not owner by one, no, we are owned by several organizations, countries.

Today is the day to change our mind. Freedom is build by each one of us, doing everyday something for the people, searching for a change.  Look for a real justice for the people. Sharing our work and ideas for a better place. Respect the life. Have an opinion associated with our actions. Stop of beliving everything the press and tv show us.

The change depends of us, not depends of “our goberments”.

So, today ww are going to se how to identify if your IP address is catalogued as spam generator or is listed on black lists. I’ve to fight against this in 4 times and it’s a really hard thing.

¿My IP address is blacklisted?

We use to start to suspect about this when our mails  are bounced o get messages answeers like “Rejected”, “Mail delivery failure” or the mails we send to other people arrive directly to bulk folder. So, we have to check the blacklist.  There are a lot of sites and tools to do that, I suggest this site: http://www.mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx

When you insert your public IP address or the IP of the connection where are you connected, this service is going to check in several black list for a  register or something that list the IP given as IP on black lists. If we get all in green where clean. But when we get one or more registers in red, the hard work starts. It means that IP address is blacklisted, this will affect our mail service deliver (Look at this for an example of black listed IP address  http://www.mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist%3a190.27.231.130). It’s necesary to enter to the blacklist site and ask for a removal. You can fill a form, you can send a mail and the cleaning process will take from 2-48 hours. But there are some others services that take more time or ask for some money to clean your IP or do it express. Always check for a form, fill it and wait for a faster answeer.

Here an important thing. I have identify some other way that your mails can be bounced or banned thanks to black list. When you use Pop3 or Pop3s and SMTP service to send mails (using a mail client like Thunderbird, Outlook, Evolution, etc) according to the server configuration, the headers of the send mail use the IP address where are you connected, so if this is blacklisted this can be a reason why your mails aren’t delivered. So, the suggestion is search our home or work IP address and for example check if this is clean.

¿Why happend this?

• The mail server it’s accepting conections using not secure ports or there aren’t security controls with the outcoming mails.
• There is one or more PC in our network inside a Botnet and it’s being used to generate and send spam.
• Malware inside the PC and servers and it’s used to send spam and we have no idea about it.
• Irresponsible use of email marketing software like ccmail, sendblaster and other software to send mail.
